Healthspan is the UK's leading direct supplier of high-quality pure, pharmaceutical grade vitamins, minerals and health supplements for home delivery.

With a mail order business that is second to none in the UK, Healthspan wanted to ensure that its core product range performed equally well online, approaching integrated digital marketing agency NetBooster in February 2011, with the following brief:

  • Ensure Healthspan.co.uk delivers maximum online visibility via thorough site audit and online recommendations
  • Significantly increase the search rankings for Healthspan’s core products
  • Help increase overall traffic to the site

NetBooster began by using its unique Ascendex platform to conduct a thorough onsite-audit of healthspan.co.uk, to indentify and resolve and technical issues effecting online visibility.

Using its sophisticated in-house tools, NetBooster set about establishing how Healthspan’s competitors were ranking for keyphrases relevant to its core product range. The competitor analysis was used by NetBooster to develop an entire content and linking strategy, placing practical and entertaining articles linking back to the Healthspan site on relevant, high traffic websites.

To deliver a greater social buzz, NetBooster worked alongside Healthspan’s social media team to ensure that key content was supported by infographics and via social bookmarking.

In six months Healthspan has experienced a significant increased across the board in terms of traffic and revenue.

Organic search for some of its core products had increased by 177%, with online revenues surging by 272%. During this period, a large percentage of its core keyphrases had risen to page one of Google, with some keywords reaching the number three position, with certain multivitamin keywords jumping 188 places – delivering a 23% increase in revenue.
